EUDORA NARCISSA SPELLMAN, age 92, of Andover, Ohio, died Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren, Ohio. She was born November 1, 1914, in Crawford County, Pennsylvania, to Muir Ednie and Grace Thompson Ednie. A resident of Andover for many years, Mrs. Spellman was a graduate of Andover High School. She was a long time member of the Leon United Methodist Church; the Leon Ladies Aid; and the Richmond Grange. She was a 4-H advisor for 30 years and was inducted into the 4-H Hall of Fame. Her hobbies included making rag rugs, quilting, cooking, gardening, and she enjoyed her family and church dinners. Mrs. Spellman married Donald V. Spellman on March 7, 1936, in Bula,Ohio. He preceded her in death on Nov. 22, 1980. Also preceding her in death are her parents, an infant son, Donald Muir Spellman, her brother, Milo Ednie, and 3 great grandchildren. She is survived by her three sons, Robert (Lynda Lehto) Spellman of Dorset, OH, Marlin Spellman of Erie, PA, and Rollin (Diane Adams) Spellman of Andover,OH; two daughters, Donna (Ivan) Jeffers of Conneaut, OH, and Arlene Carder of Painesville, OH; 15 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 1, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at the Leon United Methodist Church, Stanhope-Kelloggsville Rd., Richmond Township, OH. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Pierpont, OH. Calling hours will be from 12 Noon until the time of service on Friday.
