Eugene S Rogers

Eugene S. Rogers, 89, of Andover, Ohio passed away Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Ashtabula County Medical Center in Ashtabula, Ohio. He was born on October 20, 1924 in Lewisburg, WV, a son of Samuel O. and Lula E. (Hanger) Rogers. Formerly of Wayne Twp., Ohio, Mr. Rogers was a long time Andover resident. He married Dana R. (Sloan) on August 4, 1956 in Winchester, VA. Always a hard worker , with a big heart, Mr. Rogers was employed by and retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation. He enjoyed watching sports and gardening. Eugene and Dana both shared a strong love for family and life itself. They will always be remembered in the Village of Andover. Mr. Rogers is survived by his two daughters, Stephanie Taylor of Atlantic, PA, and Tamara (Ken Carr) Corson of Williamsfield, Ohio; his three grandchildren, Ryan Corson, Taylor Corson, and Shanelle (Darrel) Williams; his three great grandchildren, Ashton Corson, Johnathan Williams, and Brooke Williams; and two brothers. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 57 years, Dana R. Rogers, on November 23, 2013; four brothers; and one sister. Mr. Rogers will be cremated and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
