Fannie Mae Ring Thompson, 94 years old, (formerly of Kinsman, Ohio) of Naples, FL, entered into rest on Saturday, February 14, 2004. Mrs. Thompson was born in McKeesport, PA, on May 17, 1909, the daughter of Peter Ellsworth and Fannie Mae (Griffith) Ring. She resided in Kinsman, Ohio, from 1938 until moving to Bonita Springs, Florida in 1989. She had been a member of the Kinsman United Methodist Church and choir for 50 years; the Bay View Literary Club, receiving a 50 year honorary membership; "Chat and Patch" Sewing Club; and the Kinsman School P.T.A. In Florida, she was a church and choir member of the Community Congregational U.C.C. of North Naples. She attained life membership on the Order of the Eastern Star, Kinsman Chapter, #433, and served in various offices including worthy matron in 1962-1963, a grand representative to Colorado in 1967-1968. She was mother advisor to the Order of Rainbow Girls, Kinsman Assembly #44 in 1954-1955. Her philosophy was faith and loyalty and she enjoyed a wide community of friends. Survivors include two daughters, Dolores (Aubrey) Sparks of Durham, NC, and Chloe (William) Cornell of Naples, FL, and four grandsons and four great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her devoted husband of 65 years, Edwin K. Thompson, in 1994; two sisters and three brothers. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2004, at 11:00a.m. at the Kinsman United Methodist Church, 8362 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio, with the Rev. Marian F. Rodriguez officiating.
