Florine P. Carraway

Florine P. Carraway, 87 years old, of Andover, Ohio, died on Friday, July 1, 2005, at St. Paul Homes Health Center in Greenville, PA. Mrs. Carraway was born on September 16, 1917, in Kittrell, Tennessee, to the late James A. Pearson and the late Henrietta R. (Barker) Pearson. Formerly of Murfreesboro, TN, Mrs. Carraway had lived in Andover for the past nine years. She was a certified public accountant, owning and operating with her first husband, Joe N. Dearman Accounting Services in Murfreesboro for over 25 years. She was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Andover; the Tennessee State Board of Accountancy; and she enjoyed playing Bridge, sewing, and making quilts. Mrs. Carraway is preceded in death by her first husband, Joe N. Dearman; second husband, Charles E. Carraway; sister, Corinne Pearson Ealy; and a brother, William Pearson. She is survived by four daughters, Diana Florine (Roy) Hootman of Andover, OH, Connie Comstock of Cincinnati, OH, Patricia Dearman (Thomas) Hendrix of Austin, TX, and Vickie Jo (Gerald) Hamby of Selbyville, DE; 8 grandchildren, Michael (Theresa) Hootman of Andover, OH, Michelle Florine (Charles) Kozik of Erie, PA, Craig (Irma) Comstock of Prague, Czech Republic, Patricia Comstock of Brooklyn, NY, Joe Dearman Hendrix of Austin, TX, Katherine Hendrix of Austin, TX, Adam Hamby of Newark, DE, and Alison Hamby (Matthew) Williams of Frederica, DE; and 6 great grandchildren, Christian, Kaitlyn, and Nathan Hootman of Andover,OH, Lauren and Ryan Kozik of Erie, PA, and Jared Williams of Frederica, DE. Calling hours will be on Sunday, July 3, 2005 from 3 P.M. to 5 P.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St.,Andover, Ohio. Services will be held at a later date in Murfreesboro, TN. Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery, Murfreesboro, TN. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the church, P.O. Box 177, Andover,OH 44003.
