Liberty, Ohio - Flossie B. Tarr, age 86, died on July 24, 2010 at Campus Health Care Center in Liberty, Ohio. Formerly of Johnston, Ohio, Mrs. Tarr was born on September 10, 1923 in Queens, West Virginia, the daughter of Lona (Koon) and George Kirby. She was a member of the Johnston Federated Church in Johnston, Ohio. Mrs. Tarr owned and operated Tarr Ceramics Shop. On January 17, 1942 she married Junior "Bud" Tarr. She enjoyed doing arts & crafts and was an avid bingo player. Mrs. Tarr is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son Gary L.Tarr, Sr.; a grandson Gary L.Tarr, Jr.; and three brothers, Albert, Gerald and Frederick Kirby; and two sisters, Evangeline Abbott and Georgia Russ. Survivors include a daugher, Joyce (Bill) Kellar of Gainesville, Florida three sons, James (Wilma) Tarr of Cortland, Ohio, Dennis (Kathy) Tarr and Timothy (Terri) Tarr both of Vienna, Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Terry Tarr of Johnston, Ohio; six sisters, Lilly, Louise, Genevieve, Joanne, Marilyn, and Carolyn; two brothers, Gene and Leonard; eleven grandchildren, Dawn, Jodi, Sheila, Jim, Danielle, Steve, Tyra, Tim, Ashley, Mark and Kari and fourteen great grandchildren, Shawn Joshua, David, Michael, Leah, Alana, Cory, Makayla, Alivia, Emmitt, Mackenzie, Chaz, Dillon and Texas. Graveside services will be held on Friday August 27, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Johnston Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the cemetery chapel.
