Cherry Valley, Twp., Ohio- Floyd L. Cross, Sr. died on August 19, 2011 at his home. He was born on October 16, 1940 to Harry D. and Doris R. (Presdee) Cross. He married Mrytle E. (Lippart) on October 24, 1966. A longtime Cherry Valley Twp. resident, Mr. Cross worked as a machine operator at Presrite Co. in Jefferson, Ohio for over 18 years. He was a member of the Cherry Valley Church of God. He had attended Moody Bible College, and performed marriages and operated a bus ministry for several years. Mr. Cross enjoyed woodworking and fishing. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Janice Ralston and Connie Waycaster; and his brothers, Harry, James, Charles, and Clyde Cross. Survivors include his wife, Myrtle of Cherry Valley; his sons, Dale A. (Elizabeth) Hayes of Maryville, TN; Floyd L. (Wuanita) Cross, Jr. of Jefferson, Ohio; John M. Cross of Marion, Ohio; Michael P.(Danielle) Cross of Cherry Valley; his daughters, Christina M. Cross of Madison, Ohio; Gloria R. (Kevin) Dean of Pierpont, Ohio; Lorene E. Abram of Junction City, Ohio; his daughter -in-law, Mary Cross of Kingsville, Ohio; his sister, Gloria J. (Roger) Newsome of Ashtabula, Ohio; and his sister-in-law, Bonnie (Bill) Eitner of Vermillion, Ohio; 16 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. Services will be held on Monday, August 22, 2011, at 11:00 AM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, August 21, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Cherry Valley Cemetery, Cherry Valley Twp., Ohio.
