Frances Ann Pinney

Andover, Ohio - Frances A. Pinney, age 89, died on Thursday, February 3, 2011, in Andover, Ohio. She was born on September 7, 1921, in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, the daughter of Rosie G. (Huffman) and George Lawrence Cole. On February 3, 1980 she married Harry Lee Pinney, Jr. She attended the Church of God in Dorset, Ohio. Mrs. Pinney enjoyed making quilts for her children, grandchildren and brother�s and sister�s, making over 40 quilts in all. She also enjoyed making plastic canvas. Mrs. Pinney is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Wheeler Martin; her second husband, Amos Rose; a sister, Cloie York; a brother, Wilbert Cole and a granddaughter, Tina Million. Survivors include her husband of thirty-one years, Harry L. Pinney, Jr. of Andover, Ohio; a daughter, Nellie (Thomas) Million of North Kingsville, Ohio; two sons, William (Judy) Martin of Attica, Indiana and Lawrence (Noreen) Martin of Andover, Ohio; two sisters, Via Cupp of Roanoke, Virginia and Areda Perry of Covington Virginia; five brothers, Lester Cole of Roanoke, Virginia, Earlene Cole of Andover, Ohio, Dalford Cole and Roy Cole both of Roanoke, Virginia, and Leonard Cole of West Lebanon, Indiana; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 7, 2011 at 11:00am at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio. Private burial will follow in Dorset Cemetery.
