Frank L. Carmichael

Frank L. Carmichael, age 75, of Kinsman, Ohio, died Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at UPMC Horizon Hospital in Greenville, PA. He was born October 6, 1937, in Orangeville, Ohio, a son of John and Mary (Schweiss) Carmichael. A long time area resident, Mr. Carmichael was a 1955 graduate of Kinsman High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army; and retired in 2003 from AK Steel in Warren. Mr. Carmichael was a lifetime member of the Kinsman Fire Department, where he formerly served as chief. He enjoyed collecting Hess trucks; and loved playing cards with his friends. Mr. Carmichael is survived by six sisters, Marguerite Carmichael of Tyler, Texas, Martha Elser of Kinsman, OH, Elizabeth (James) McKitrick of Vienna,OH, Gerry (Kenneth) Stafford of Kinsman, OH, Mabel Zak of Harpers Ferry, WV, and Nancy (Lawrence) Genera of Canton, OH; three brothers, Charles Carmichael of Pickerington, OH, Carl (Donna) Carmichael of Kinsman,OH, and George (Donna) Carmichael of Yakima, WA; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Elsie Carmichael. Per Mr. Carmichael's request no services will be held.
