Gustavus, Ohio - Frank E. Flowers, 79 of Gustavus, died on Sunday, May 28, 2006 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born on March 1, 1927 in Orangeville, Ohio to Edward R. Flowers and Cora B. (Mattocks) Flowers-Holler. Mr. Flowers was a 1945 graduate of Vernon High School and served in the United States Navy during World War II. Mr. Flowers owned and operated a dairy farm and worked as a machinist, retiring in 1992. He attended the Gustavus Federated Church, and was a former member of the Harry Lees Post #506 American Legion, and the Burdette Edgar Totten VFW Post #6263. Mr. Flowers was the Little league coach of Gustavus for many years and enjoyed gardening; woodworking; reading and spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his loving wife of more than 55 years, Donna J. Hall whom he married on January, 10, 1951. He is also survived by a daughter Rebecca A. (Les) Boggs of Andover; sons Mark E. (Rhonda) Flowers of Kinsman, Scott R. (Inga) Flowers of Mayfield Heights, Thomas M. (Cheryl) Flowers of Mecca, James B. (Lisa) Flowers of Hartford, Matthew D. Flowers of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; longtime family friend Johnny L. Shelton of Ft. Lauderdale; a brother Edward (Jane) Flowers of Ligonier, Penn.; 15 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and many in-laws; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio with Rev. Steven W. Trimble officiating. Burial will follow in Gustavus Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2006 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
