Frank Watson, age 92, of Williamsfield, OH, died Monday, July 27, 2009 at UPMC Horizon Hospital in Greenville, PA. He was born August 17, 1916, in Greenville, Georgia, the son of Scott and Mary Lou (Gaston) Watson. Formerly of Cleveland, Mr. Watson had lived in Williamsfield since 1952. He was employed for over forty years and retired from American Steel and Wire in Cleveland. Mr. Watson was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Navy as Specialist 2nd Class. He was a member of the Williamsfield United Methodist Church; and he enjoyed shooting pool, golf, and baseball. Mr. Watson is survived by his wife, Bernice (Johnson) Watson, whom he married July 8, 1948, of Williamsfield; his three daughters, Althea Ternent of Williamsfield, Gigi Oatman of Phoenix, AZ, and Jasmine Austin of Williamsfield; his brother, William Watson of Cleveland,OH; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his two sons, Donald Watson and Wyett Watson; his grandson, Johnnie Matthews; three sisters, Alice Well, Sally Oatman, and Susie Wormack; and five brothers, Love Watson, Willie Watson, Robert Watson, Norman Watson, and Ralph Watson. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Williamsfield Center Cemetery, St. Rt. 7, Williamsfield, OH, with Pastor Pat Seger officiating.
