Fred A. Ramey

Williamsfield, Ohio - Fred A. Ramey, age 77, died on Saturday, March 29, 2008. He was born on June 11, 1930, in Branchland, West Virginia, the son of Audie and Lettie (McCoy) Ramey. Mr. Ramey was employed at Tube Form Inc. of Bedford Heights, Ohio, retiring in 1979. He had given his life to the Lord this past year and was a member of the Cherry Valley Church of the Nazarene. Mr. Ramey married Bonnie Lou Saunders on November 9, 1979. He enjoyed woodcrafting and being outdoors to watch and feed the animals that came into his yard. He had a love for the Christmas season and was known for his Christmas decorations. Mr. Ramey is preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Cindy May Ramey and Emma Faye Ramey. A wonderful father and husband, his survivors include, his wife of twenty-seven years Bonnie of Williamsfield, two daughters, Nancy (Herman) Nappa of West Virginia, and Karen S. (Tim) Volanski of Jefferson, Ohio; a son Terry M. Ramey of Branchland, West Virginia; a stepson Michael (Leslie) Hajnal of Cleveland, Ohio; two brothers, Audie (Betty) and Thomas Ramey both of Salt Rock, West Virginia; eight grandchildren, Dustin, Brittany and Matthew Volanski, James and Beverly Nappa, Rebecca, Dixie and Terry Michelle Ramey; and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at the Cherry Valley Church of the Nazarene, 3410 State Route 6, Cherry Valley with Pastor Buck Traylor officiating. Burial will follow in East Mecca Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Thursday, April 3rd from Noon until the time of services. Baumgardner Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
