Frederick W. McNeilly

Andover, Ohio - Frederick W. McNeilly, Sr., age 82, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 10, 2010. He was born on July 8, 1927, in Wayne, Ohio, the son of Virginia E. (Dolan) and LeRoy H. McNeilly. Mr. McNeilly was a 1945 graduate of Williamsfield High School. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. McNeilly drove truck for several companies including Daniels Motor Freight, Ezor Express and retired in 1989 from Hammermill Paper. On May 1, 1946 he married Annabel L. Snyder. He was a member of the Andover Christian Church where he served as Deacon for many years. Mr. McNeilly was formerly a member of the Kinsman American Legion Harry Lees Post No. 506 and the Wayne Lindenville Grange. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed RV traveling and spending time with his grandchildren, whom he was very proud of. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of fifty-six years, Annabel L. McNeilly; and two sisters, Eleanor Burt and Mary Jane Knowles. Survivors include two sons, Frederick W. (Shirley) McNeilly of Copperas Cove, Texas, and LeRoy H. (Ann) McNeilly of Andover, Ohio; three granddaughters, Cynthia Witkowski of Westfield, Indiana, Jennifer Cruise of Burke, Virginia, and Jodi Heath of Andover, Ohio; two grandsons, Brad NcNeilly-Anta of Whitehouse Station, New Jersey and Jared McNeilly of Tacoma, Washington; ten great grandchildren, Alyssa, Lilly, Tommy, Tyler, Kennedy, Megan, Isabela, Carter, Joey, and Sebastian. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at 11:00am at Andover Christian Church, Stillman Ave. Andover, Ohio with Pastor Robert Gears officiating. Burial will follow in Hayes Cemetery, Wayne, Ohio. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 14th from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at the church.
