Frederick L. "Rick" Stevens

Frederick L. "Rick" Stevens, age 69, of Mecca township, OH, died Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at his home. He was born July 20, 1947, in Warren,Ohio, a son of Frederick G. and Edna R. (Hartman) Stevens. A lifetime area resident, Rick was a graduate of Joseph Badger High School. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army. Rick was employed for over 30 years at General Motors in Lordstown; and he and his sons owned and operated a family farm in Mecca. Rick was a member of the Trumbull County Farm Bureau and the N.R.A. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and attending rock and roll concerts. Rick loved spending time with his grandkids and his animals. Rick is survived by his wife, Marlene R. (Braden) Stevens, whom he married Sept. 22, 2003, but had spent 19 years together, in Mecca; his father, Frederick G. Stevens of Gustavus township,OH; step daughter, Rachel (Will)Fox of Mecca township,OH; daughter-in-law, Renee Stevens of Cortland,OH; granddaughter; Courtney (Dean Fitz) Stevens of Cortland,OH; several other grandchildren; a niece and nephews; and his sister, Jane (Bill) Corson of Andover,OH. He is preceded in death by his mother; and his three sons, Justin Lee Stevens, Jeffrey Lee Stevens, and Jesse Lee Stevens. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 19, 2016, at 6:00 PM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main St., Kinsman,OH, with Pastor Jason Allen officiating.
