Gerald T. "Tom" Rogers

Gerald T. "Tom" Rogers, age 76, of Punta Gorda, FL died Tuesday, May 17, 2005 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale, FL. Mr. Rogers was born January 3, 1929 in Warren, OH to Samuel and Lula (Hanger) Rogers. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He moved to Punta Gorda in 1960, and was employed in marine construction for many years. Mr. Rogers married Beverly Jean (Burns) on November 23, 1953. She died March 29, 1997. He is survived by his son, Rick (Cathy) Rogers of Lakeland, FL; three grandchildren, Dustin, Tom, and Matthew Rogers; a sister, Glenna Plesea of Warren, OH; and four brothers, Gene of Andover, OH, Ed of Dallas, TX, Earl of San Antonio, TX, and Don of Punta Gorda, FL. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 1:30 P.M. at West Andover Cemetery, Stanhope-Kelloggsville Rd., Andover, where burial of cremated remains will take place.
