Gerald R. Weaver

Gerald R. Weaver, age 91, of South Denmark Road,Denmark Township, died Saturday, August 26, 2006 at ACMC. He was born on May 3, 1915 in Sheffield Twp., a son of Charles H. and Nettie F. (Ruland) Weaver. Mr. Weaver was a dairy farmer for many years and also drove truck for fuel delivery for several companies. He was a 65 year member of the Jefferson Grange, a member for over 55 years of the Farm Bureau Federation, and he had an association with the Jefferson United Methodist Church. Mr. Weaver enjoyed woodworking, reading, and reminiscing. Mr. Weaver married his wife, Frances G. (Janson) on Sept. 18, 1949. She died on Sept. 5, 2002. He was also preceded in death by a brother Ralph Weaver. Survivors include a daughter, Becky M. Gaskell of Ashtabula; a son, Gordon E. Weaver of Denmark Twp.; 2 sisters, Frances Blenman of Kingsville and Dorothy M. Powell of Linesville, PA; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Burial of cremated remains will take place on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2006 at 11:00 AM in the South Denmark Cemetery with Rev. Gordon Emerson officiating.
