Gladys E. Eastlake Taylor Lilley, 93 yrs old, of Ashatabula, Ohio, died on Wednesday, January 7, 2004, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center, in Ashtabula, Ohio. Mrs. Lilley was born in Andover, Ohio, on June 30, 1910, to the late John H. Eastlake and the late Millcent Holcomb. Formerly of Andover, Mrs. Lilley was an Ashtabula resident since 1953. She was a 1929 graduate of Andover High School. Mrs. Lilley was a manager for the former Nichols 5 & 10 store in Andover, and managed the Ash Millenery Hat Store in Ashtabula for a number of years. She married Raymond A. Taylor in June of 1932, he died in November of 1966. She then married Ralph B. Lilley in August of 1973, he died in July of 1994. Mrs. Lilley attended the Saybrook Methodist Church. She was a member of the Floral Chapter of Eastern Star of Andover since 1947, an active member of the Williamsfield & Saybrook Granges as well as the Pomons, State & National member. Mrs. Lilley was a charter member and past president of the 55 Plus Club of Ashtabula YMCA for many years, and she was active in the Ashtabula Moose Club. She was an accomplished pianist, and played for silent movies in Andover in her younger years. She enjoyed flea markets, square dancing, reading and buying and selling antiques. Mrs. Lilley was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, three brothers; Guy, Lyle and Howard Eastlake, and three half brothers; Earl, Jay, and Floyd Eastlake, and her son-in-law James Reger. She is survived by her Daughter, Carolyn T. Reger of Geneva, OH; her Grandson, James R. Reger of Ashtabula, OH; her four Granddaughters, Elizabeth R. Wilson of Ashtabula, OH; Nancy R. Broughton of Marietta, OH; Joanne E. Reger of Oak Park, MI; Amy S. Kemper of Xenia, OH; and 10 Great Granchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2004, at Noon, at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio, with the Reverend Bob Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Andover. Calling hours will be from 11:00a.m. until the time of the service.
