Goldie Z. Miller, 84 years old, of Jefferson, Ohio, died on Wednesday, March 24, 2004, at Jefferson Geriatric Center in Jefferson, Ohio. Goldie was born on October 24, 1919, in Cherry Tree, PA, to the late Thomas O. Bee and the late Sarah F. (Learner) Bee. A former long time Richmond township resident, Goldie has lived in Jefferson for the past 5 years. She was employed as a machine shop operator by Emiry Corporation in Conneaut, Ohio, for 13 years, retiring in 1981. She was a member of the Leon United Methodist Church in Richmond, and a 16 year member of the VFW Post #9519 Auxillary. She enjoyed flower gardening. Goldie married John Thomas Miller, Sr. on November 26, 1944. He died on June 22, 1994. Also preceding her in death are her parents; three brothers, Raymond, Barney, and Ted Bee; and four sisters, Crissie Spiker, Beatrice Ifamoro, Fannie Smith, and Louise Kerr. She is survived by her three sons, Donald G. Miller of Geneva, OH; John T. Miller of White Bear Lake, MN; and Robert L. Miller of Tampa, FL; her two daughters, Barbara K. Cline of Ocala, FL; and Sandra M. Clarke of Denver, CO; her sister, Margaret M. Tomory of Cleveland, OH; thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2004, at 1:00p.m. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, Ohio. Burial will follow in Richmond Center Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Friday, March 26, 2004, from 7-9pm at the funeral home and also from 12:00p.m. on Saturday until the time of service. At Goldie's request, in lieu of flowers or memorial contributions, stuffed animals can be donated to Ashtabula County Medical Center's pediatric unit. Donations may be brought to the funeral home.
