Grace Lucille Artman

Bristolville, Ohio - Grace Lucille Artman, age 97, died on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren, Ohio. She was born on February 27, 1917 in Ashtabula, Ohio, a daughter of Zada (Moore) and Virgil Stohler. Formerly of Williamsfield and Cherry Valley, Ohio, Mrs. Artman has been in Bristolville for almost eight years. On July 13, 1941 she married Kenneth Artman. She was a member of the Cherry Valley Church of the Nazarene since 1947. Mrs. Artman enjoyed baking, canning and camping. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of sixty-five years, Kenneth Artman and a brother, Lawrence Stohler. Survivors include a daughter, Lucille (Leonard) Starr, Andover, Ohio; two sons, Rev. K. Lyle (Dee) Artman of Decatur,Illinois and Charles (Marilyn) Artman of Bristolville, Ohio; ten grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and eleven great great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio, with her son, Rev. K. Lyle Artman officiating. Burial will follow in Cherry Valley Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, June 3rd from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Memorial contributions made to the Cherry Valley Church of the Nazarene.
