Grace Lee Phillips

Wayne, Ohio-Grace L. Phillips, age 71 of Wayne, Ohio, died on Monday, September 26, 2011. She was born on October 19, 1939 in East Buckley, West Virginia, the daughter of Bessie (White) and Henry C. Shrewsbury. Formerly of Rome, Ohio, Mrs. Phillips was a Wayne resident for over twenty-five years. She attended the Wayne Congregational Church and was active with the Wayne Missionary Society. Mrs. Phillips loved her dogs and enjoyed gardening and canning. She is preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter Josephine and a sister, Martha Yearout. Survivors include her husband of twenty-seven years, Norman T. Phillips, Sr.; two daughters, Anita (Douglas) Campbell and Gwen (Jody) Davis both of Rock Creek, Ohio; a step daughter, Constance (Aaron) Petro of Georgia; two step sons, Norman T. Phillips, Jr. of New York and Thomas (Amanda) Phillips of Georgia; two sisters, Mary Phillips and Brenda Ford both of Cleveland, Ohio; a brothers, Bernard Shrewsbury of Cleveland, Ohio; eight grandchildren; five step grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and one step great granddaughter. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 11:00am at Rome Cemetery.
