Harold C. Penn

Vernon, Ohio - Harold C. Penn, 59, of Vernon, Ohio, died on Saturday, July 15, 2006 in Hartford, Ohio, following a brief illness. Mr. Penn was born on July 24, 1946 in Hubbard, Ohio, to the late Jack L. Penn Sr and Irene (Bright) Penn. Mr. Penn was employed for the former Sharon Steel Company for 27 years, retiring in 1999. He was a member of the Corner House Christian Church of Hubbard. Mr. Penn enjoyed listening to country music, riding horses and motorcycles and doing small engine repair. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by an infant daughter Angela Jean Penn, a step daughter Sonya I. Merten, and a brother Wendell Penn. Survivors include two sons, Michael D. (Johnene) Penn of Hermitage, PA, Mark J. Penn of Tampa, Florida, a stepson David E. (Shannan) Penn Jr. of Vernon, Ohio; two brothers Jack L Penn Jr. of Farmdale, Ohio, and David E. Penn Sr. of Vernon, Ohio; granddaughters, Lindsay, Chelsea, Avrielle and Lauren; grandsons, Jordan, Jereme and Jacob; and former wives Karen Jean Beveridge and Vilhelmine Hickman. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2006 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio. A private burial of cremated remains will be held at Corner House Christian Church Cemetery in Hubbard, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
