Harold R. "Pete" DiDay, age 90, of Kinsman, Ohio, died Saturday, July 1, 2006, at UPMC Horizon Hospital in Greenville, PA. He was born April 21, 1916 in Vernon township, OH, to E. Ray and Mildred L. (Davis) DiDay. A lifetime area resident, Mr. DiDay was a 1934 Kinsman High School graduate. He was employed by Cleveland Castings Company in Kinsman as a machinist, retiring in 1981. Mr. DiDay was a member of the Kinsman United Methodist Church and a 50 year member of the Gustavus Lodge #442. He was a sports enthusiast and an avid race car fan. Mr. DiDay married Edna L. (Burford) on November 29, 1941, and was preceded in death by her in 1970. He is survived by his two sons, Gary (Barbara) DiDay of Stoneboro, PA, and Tom (Donna) DiDay of Tucson, AZ; four grandchildren, Jodi Patrick of Vernon township, OH, Melissa Looney, Jeff DiDay, and Emily DiDay, all of Tucson, AZ; three step grandchildren, Todd and Ryan McConnell of Stoneboro, PA, and Kory Marotta of Hollywood, FL; 10 great grandchildren; and one sister, Leta Kagy, of North Carolina. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main St., Kinsman,OH. Burial will follow in Kinsman Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, July 5th from 2 to 4 P.M. and 7 to 9 P.M., where masonic rites will be conducted at 8:45 P.M.
