Harry L. Baker, 65 yrs old, of Johnston Township, Ohio, died in UPMC Horizon Hospital in Greenville, PA, on Saturday, December 20, 2003. Mr. Baker was born on March 23, 1938, in Burgettstown, PA, to Mildred (Harris) Baker and the late William P. Baker. He was a long time Johnston Twp, Ohio resident and worked as a consultant for Monologh Basins in Bridgeville, PA, for over 5 years, retiring in 2002. Prior to that, he worked for various construction companies for almost 50 years. He was a member of the Vernon United Methodist Church in Vernon Twp., Ohio and Laborers Union #1058. Mr. Baker married Mamie (George) on July 17, 1959. He enjoyed dirt track racing, especially sprint cars. He was preceded in death by his father, William P. Baker. He is survived by his wife, Mamie A. Baker of Johnston Twp, OH; his sons, Thomas A. Baker of Hudson, OH, and William P. Baker of Port Matilda, OH; his mother Mildred Baker of Burgettstown, PA; his sisters, Arletta Zelenko and Dorla Kinkela, both of Burgettstown, PA; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio on Wednesday, December 24, 2003, at 11:00a.m. Calling hours will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 23, 2003 from 5-8pm.
