Harry H. Gray

Austinburg, Ohio - HARRY H. GRAY, 97, of Austinburg, died on February 3, 2006. He was born on March 30, 1908, to Clyde and Bertha (Spade) Hawes. He was adopted and raised by John L. and Jennie S. Gray. Formerly of Andover, Chardon and Jefferson, Ohio, he was a graduate of Andover High School. Mr. Gray married LaDell Mead on July 27, 1929. He retired as an electrician from the Chardon School Systems, of Chardon, Ohio. Mr. Gray enjoyed spending time with his family, working around his home, taking short trips and was an avid stamp collector. He is preceded in death by his wife, LaDell of sixty-nine years on December 5, 1998, and a brother Gerald Hines. Survivors include his daughter Nancy L. (Richard) Naramore of Jefferson, Ohio; granddaughters Lora (Allen) Weaver of Johnstown, Ohio, Linda (Paul) Wineburgh of Merrimac, Mass.; three great granddaughters and a brother Ralph Hawes of Tucson, Arizona. Family graveside services will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2006, at 2:00 P.M. at Cherry Valley Cemetery, with Rev. Gordon Emerson officiating. No calling hours will be held.
