Harry L. Mott, age 89, of Wayne township, OH, died Thursday, August 27, 2009 at his home. He was born September 14, 1919, in Cleveland,Ohio, the son of Harry L. Mott, Sr. and Hulda (Elmquist) Mott. Formerly of Cleveland, Mr. Mott had been a resident of Wayne since 1956. Mr. Mott was a professional entertainer employed as a pianist and soloist. He was a member of the Harvest Baptist Church in Greenville, PA; and belonged to the Musicians Union and Cactus Club. Mr. Mott enjoyed gardening, model trains, stamp collecting, and he loved crossword puzzles. Mr. Mott married Phyllis (Townhill) on Feb. 19, 1941, and she died in 1982. He is also preceded in death by a step son, Daniel Heinbaugh; a granddaughter, Paula Reutenik; a grandson, Russell Scott Canfield; one brother, Arthur Mott; and one sister, Ruth Mott. Mr. Mott is survived by his wife, Bonnie J. ( McCullough) Mott, whom he married Feb. 16, 1991, of Wayne township, OH; his three sons, Harry L. (Patty) Mott, Jr. of Minnesota, Eric G. Mott of Wayne township,OH, and Kurt T. (Berneda) Mott of Cleveland Heights, OH; his two step sons, Ken Heinbaugh of Andover, OH, and Paul (Nancy) Heinbaugh of Strongsville, OH; two step daughters, Jacquelyn Sue Nims of Falls Church, VA, and Gretchen (Bob) Bancroft of Kinsman, OH; twenty grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren; one great-great grandhild; and two nephews, Bill (Jane) Mott of Perry, OH, and John (Cheryl) Mott of Mentor, OH. A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 31, 2009 at 1:00 P.M .at the Harvest Baptist Church, 516 E. Jamestown Rd., Greenville, PA, with Pastor Jeremy McClain officiating. Burial will follow in Hayes Cemetery, Wayne township, OH. Calling hours will be Sunday, August 30th from 2 to 4 P.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, OH, and also on Monday, Aug. 31st from 12 Noon until the time of service at the church.
