Hazel L. Ambrose

HAZEL L. AMBROSE, age 71, of Kinsman, Ohio, died Sunday, November 30, 2008, at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren, Ohio. She was born December 28, 1936, in Kinsman,Ohio, the daughter of James C. and Elizabeth J. (Koonce) Garlock. A lifetime Kinsman resident, Mrs. Ambrose was a 1954 Kinsman High School graduate. She was employed by Cleveland Brass and retired from Packard Electric in Warren after twenty years. She was a member of the Kinsman United Methodist Church; and enjoyed golfing, bowling, gambling, collecting teapots and Longaberger baskets. Mrs. Ambrose married Peter C. Ambrose on November 23, 1968, and he preceded her in death on June 9, 1976. Also preceding her in death are her parents; a step son, Bill Ambrose; a grandson, Matthew Ambrose; three sisters, Sally Wajda, Edith Letcher, and Garnet Pohl; and long time companion, George H. "Howdy" Houk. She is survived by a step-son, Michael (Kristen)Ambrose of Warren,Ohio; one brother, Karl A. (Mary Alyce) Garlock of Kinsman; two sisters, Allie Grace (Clyde) Stevens of Kinsman, and Dixie G. Yeager of Stuart, Florida; and five grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2008, at 2:00 P.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main St., Kinsman,Ohio. Burial of cremated remains will take place in Kinsman Cemetery.
