Jefferson, Ohio - HAZEL R. MANES, 82, of Jefferson, Ohio, died Wednesday, February 22, 2006 in St. Joseph Hospital, Warren, Ohio. She was born on January 6, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois to Clyde and Bessie (Patchin) Rowland Sr. Formerly of Warren and Farmington, Ohio, Mrs. Manes spent the last 12 years in Ashtabula County. She married Isaac E. Manes on October 9, 1944. Mrs. Manes enjoyed making crafts and ceramics and playing bingo. She attended Sunday church services at the Jefferson Health Care Center. Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband Isaac in June of 1986, a brother Clyde Rowland Jr. and three grandchildren, Roland Manes Jr., David Manes and JoAnn Manes. Survivors include three sons, Roland G. "Sonny" Manes Sr. of Champion, Ohio, Donald E. Manes of Tennessee, Jerry C. Manes of Ashtabula, Ohio; six daughters, Betty L. Budd of Anchorage, Alaska, Linda P. Beckwith of Ashtabula, Ohio, JoAnn Morrow of Texas, Donna "Jean" Burnett of Kingsville, Ohio, Karen S. Schroeder of Dorset, Ohio, Carole A. Guidry of Scott, Louisiana; a brother, Glenn Rowland of Cortland, Ohio and a sister Pauline James of Farmington, Ohio; 23 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio, with Pastor Aletta Burkholder officiating. Burial will follow in Brownwood Cemetery in Bloomfield, Ohio. Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 24, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.at the funeral home.
