HELEN LOUISE BAER, age 80, of Andover, Ohio, died Saturday, October 13, 2007, at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren, Ohio, ending her courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 15, 1927, in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of the late Richard and Clara (Stalter) Longstreth. Mrs. Baer is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jack Harrison Baer; five daughters, Linda White of Akron, OH, Marie (Glenn) Eby, Betty (Arvine) Burgert, both of Westover, MD, Susan (Thomas) Securro of Akron, OH, and Kathy Durst of Mogadore, OH; 28 Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren; four sisters, Dorothy (Floyd) Keathley of Ohio, Marian (Leon) Kern of AR, Marie Langford, and Edna (Ray) Glinsky, both of OH; and four brothers, Jack (Joan) Longstreth, Ralph Longstreth, Cletus "Bud" Longstreth, and Robert Longstreth, all of OH. She was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Fred Longstreth. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, 2603 Benton St., Akron, OH, on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at 11:00 A.M., with Fr. Michael Williams as celebrant. Friends will be received prior to mass from 10 to 11 A.M. at the church. Her final resting place will be Holy Cross Cemetery, Akron, Ohio.
