KINSMAN – It is with great sadness that the family of Helen L. Bennett announce her passing on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025.
Helen was born in New Castle, Pa., on Jan. 15, 1944.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Dorothy Hoye; her brothers, Bill Hoye and Charles Hoye; her son, Warren (Glenny) Bennett III; and grandson, Billy Edwards.
She is survived by her brother, Sam Hoye (Sue); sister, Dorothy Tanner; daughters, Glenda Graham (Scott), Elizabeth McCarty (Sean), Sandra Oaks (Robert), Jennifer Zaller (Matthew), and Barbara Bennett; and the light of her life, her sevreal grandchildren and great-grandchildren, more than can be counted.
Helen grew up in Frizzleburg, Pa., before starting her career at General Motors and later retiring, after 27 years of dedication. She bought a home in Kinsman, where she would spend most of her life. Helen loved gardening, yard sales and any activity where she could be surrounded by her family. She is known for being strong, independent, loving and witty. To know her was to love her.
Helen's grandchildren would like to share that she had the purest, most unconditional love of anyone they knew. She was their shoulder to cry one, their listening ear, best friend, mentor, grandmother and biggest cheerleader. Her home was their safe place that allowed them to be children; and they will spend a lifetime missing her and cherishing their memories.
A celebration of life will be held this summer.
Baumgardner Funeral and Cremation Service, 8569 Main St., Kinsman, OH 44428, assisted the family with arrangements.
