Henry S. Hostetler, age 85, of Williamsfield,OH, died Tuesday, November 8, 2005, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He was born February 27, 1920 in Middlefield,OH, to Sam and Elvina (Schrock) Hostetler. Formerly of Middlefield, Mr. Hostetler had lived in Williamsfield for over 40 years. He owned and operated a farm all of his life, and he was self employed in the logging industry. Mr. Hostetler was a member of the Burton Mennonite Church, and he attended the Andover Baptist Church and the Andover Church of Christ. He enjoyed playing horseshoes, competing and winning the World Championship in the 1990's Senior Horse Shoe Pitching. He also enjoyed the traveling he did in Europe. He is survived by his wife, Clara (Hostetler) Hostetler, whom he married November 27, 1939; five daughters, Mary (Amos) Gingerich of Middlefield,OH, Lovina (Ed) Page of Sarasota, FL, Sarah Troyer of Sarasota, FL, Betty Ann Hostetler of Sarasota, FL, and Ruth Ann Hill of Andover, OH; three sisters, Edna (John) Miller of Burton, OH, Sarah (Henry) Kurtz of Orlando,FL, and Amanda Yoder of Michigan; one brother, Ben (Alta) Hostetler of Sarasota, FL; one step sister, Betty (John) Mullet of Middlefield,OH; and two step brothers of New York; 11 Grandchildren; and 13 Great Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Lester Hostetler in March of 1978, and Freeman Hostetler in November of 1987. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at the Andover Church of Christ, Stillman Ave., Andover,OH. Burial will follow in Williamsfield Center Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday, November 11th from 6 to 9 P.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover,Ohio.
