Warren, Ohio - Herold William Hover, age 97, died on Friday, November 2, 2012. He was born on November 4, 1914, in Williamsfield, Ohio, a son of Jesse E. (Porter) and William H. Hover. He was a 1932 graduate of Kinsman High School and was a resident of Gustavus, Ohio for most of his life. Mr. Hover worked as a guard for Valley Mold of Hubbard, Ohio, while working as a mechanic for Ray Logan of Gustavus, Ohio. On January 26, 1937 he married Lillian Emily Bauer. Mr. Hover loved to bowl and bowled twice a week until 2010. He enjoyed fishing in Canada, camping and auto racing. Mr. Hover is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Lillian E. Hover; a son, Edwin M. Hover; a sister, Marleah Johnson; a brother, Leroy Hover; and a granddaughter, Sherry Ann Parkinson. Survivors include a daughter, Joyce A. Byrd of Howland, Ohio; a son, Stanton L. Hover, Sr. of Warren, Ohio; eleven grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 2:00pm at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, November 7th from 1:00pm until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Gustavus Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
