H. John Meininghaus

Jefferson, Ohio - Howard John Meininghaus, age 65, died on Monday, December 25, 2017. He was born on February 14, 1951 in Chardon, Ohio, the son of Joseph Elizabeth (Applequist) and Harry John Meininghaus. John was a 1971 graduate of Middlefield Cardinal High School. He worked for the LFE Plastics of Chersterland for over twenty years and then worked for King Luminaire of Jefferson, Ohio. On March 16, 1990 he married June Lou Owensby. John was a WWE fan and enjoyed going to classic car shows. He liked to tinker with cars and loved spending time with his grandchildren. John is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Jane Ward and Joan Singer and a brother, Harry James Meininghaus. Survivors include his wife of twenty-seven years, June L. Meininghaus of Jefferson, Ohio; his daughter, Cara A. (Kevin) Lautanen of Cherry Valley, Ohio; two step daughters, Irene (Craig) Golen and Wanda (Curtis) Johnson both of Jefferson, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; a great grandson; a niece and two nephews.
