Howard F. Kyle, age 93, of Dorset, Ohio, died Friday, May 23, 2014 at the Country Club Retirement Center in Ashtabula ,OH. He was born July 1, 1920, in Dorset, Ohio, a son of William E. and Viola (Cochran) Kyle. A lifelong Dorset resident, Mr. Kyle was a 1938 graduate of Dorset School. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S.Navy. He was employed as a foreman at RMI Sodium and retired in 1983 after 31 years of service; and then served as Dorset Township clerk for 20 years. Mr. Kyle was a member of the Dorset United Methodist Church; the VFW; and American Legion. He was a 50 year member of the Denmark/Jefferson Grange and also the Dorset Volunteer Fire Department. He was also a former board member for SCAD. Mr. Kyle is survived by his wife, Bulah M. (Mozingo) Kyle, whom he married June 14, 1947, of Dorset, OH; his two sons, Robert W. Kyle of Dorset, and Howard C. (Candi) Kyle of Howland, OH; three grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and one sister, Dorothy Alden of Jefferson, OH. He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, David L. Kyle on August 30, 2011; and a brother, Rupert Kyle. Mr. Kyle will be cremated and no services held. A private burial of his cremated remains will take place in Dorset Cemetery.
