Ida S. Waris

IDA S. WARIS, age 89, of Wayne township, Ohio, died Saturday, September 30, 2006, at UPMC Horizon Hospital in Greenville, PA. She was born October 10, 1916, in Kinsman, Ohio, to Andrew and Mary (Kumpulainen) Siekkinen. A lifetime area resident, Mrs. Waris was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, doing word puzzles, collecting dolls, and she enjoyed her flowers. Mrs. Waris is survived by her son, Keith E. Waris of Wayne township, OH; her brother, Donald Siekkinen of Bristol, OH; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edwin R. Waris, on Dec. 30, 1999, whom she wed on April 27, 1942; six brothers; and four sisters. A private burial of cremated remains will take place in Kinsman Cemetery.
