Irene Penn, 89 years old, of Kinsman, Ohio, died on Tuesday, November 30, 2004, at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren, Ohio. Irene was born on February 11, 1915, in Amsterdam, Ohio, to the late David Bright and the late Ollie (Evans) Bright. A life long Trumbull County, Ohio, resident, Mrs. Penn had lived in Kinsman for over 25 years. She was a member of the Corner House Christian Church, and attended Cortland Christian Church. She married Jack L. Penn in 1937 and was preceded in death by him in 1978. She was also preceded in death by her son, Wendell Penn; her granddaughter, Sonya Penn Merten; her brothers, Emerson Bright and Albert Rucker; and her sisters, Lillian Bright and Marie Rucker. She enjoyed quilting, scrapbooking, collecting various items, and crafts. Irene is survived by her son, Jack L. Penn, Jr. of Farmdale, OH; her son, David E. Penn of Kinsman, OH; her son, Harold C. Penn of Kinsman, OH; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2004, at the Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio, at 10:00a.m. with Dr. Stephen Stout of Cortland Christian Church officiating. Burial will take place in Corner House Christian Church Cemetery, Hubbard, Ohio. Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 3, 2004, from 6-8p.m. at the funeral home.
