Greenville, Pennsylvania - Iris Marie Hitchcock, age 74, died on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at St. Paul Homes in Greenville, where she has been a resident. She was born on February 27, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan a daughter of Cecilia (Cukla) and Harry H. Hitchcock. Iris was a 1960 graduate of Andover High School. She worked for the former Locke Machine of Andover, Ohio and was a member of the Pymatuning Community Church. Iris rescued animals and found new caring homes for them and had a great love of cats. She enjoyed dancing, fishing, baking, gardening, collecting rocks and playing checkers. Iris is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Lily A. Fish. Survivors include her brother, Louis E. Hitchcock of Andover, Ohio; three nieces, Lynette Muhammad, Roseanne and Donna and two nephews, Kevin and Roy and several great nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 11:00am at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery of Andover, Ohio. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 10th from 6:00 until 8:00pm.
