Jack E. Evans, age 77, of Andover, Ohio, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at his home. He was born December 4, 1934, in Brownsville, PA, a son of John and Rachel (Leper) Evans. A resident of Andover for the past 33 years, Mr. Evans was formerly of Cleveland. He was employed by Bailey Controls in Wickliffe, OH, for 38 years retiring in 1997. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army. His hobbies included yard work and gardening. Mr. Evans married Mary Alice (Backlawski) on April 8, 1971, and she preceded him in death on July 12,2009. He is also preceded in death by his parents; and five brothers and sisters. He is survived by his three daughters, Kyran (Bob) Chorba of Cleveland,OH, Linda (Doug) Sowash of Greenville, PA, and Christine Evans of Andover,OH; 7 Grandchildren, Robert, Ryan, Alicia, Billy, Johnny, Jimmy, and Trista; 8 Great Grandchildren, Diamond, Aaliyah, Taylor, Haley, Kaylee, Alishia, Clair, and Calvin; one brother, Roy, and one sister, Marie, both of Brownsville, PA.
