James Donald Barth

James Donald Barth, age 70, a long time resident of Lenox Township, OH, died Monday, August 2, 2010 at his home. He was born July 20, 1940, and raised in Westlake, OH, the son of James D. Barth, Sr. and Rose M. (Schmidt). Mr. Barth received a degree in Engineering from Ohio University, where he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He retired from TRW in Euclid, Ohio, after many years; and enjoyed woodworking, farming, and long walks with his dogs on his property. Mr. Barth married Linda R. (Wright) Barth on July 10, 1975. She preceded him in death on Sept. 21, 2001. His parents also precede him in death. He is survived by his daughter, Renee (Duane) Jones of Hartville, OH; two grandsons, Daniel Tomasek, Spc, US Army, and Bryan Tomasek; great grandson, Chandler Tomasek; two sisters, Joan (Ed) Hammon of Westlake, OH, and Bev (Bill) Stives of Avon Lake,OH; two nieces, Gayle Boesken and Peggy Vasu; three nephews, Doug Hammon, Eric Stives, and Mike Stives; and many great nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 6, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, OH. Burial will follow in Rays Corner Cemetery, St. Rt. 46, Lenox Township, OH. Calling hours will be on Friday from 10 A.M. until the time of service.
