Jane Ann Betts Timko

Kinsman, Ohio – Jane Ann Betts Timko, age 65, died at Northside Medical Center in Youngstown, Ohio on Sunday, September 21, 2014, with her family by her side, a three time Cancer Survivor. She was born on January 28, 1949 in Greenville, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Ruth Loraine (Hines) and Lee Carl Betts. Jane was a 1967 graduate of Joseph Badger High School. On September 6, 1969 she married Nicholas Timko, Jr. A twenty-seven year veteran with the Trumbull County Sheriff Department, Jane was a Pioneer for women in Trumbull County Law Enforcement and she retired in 2001 as a Detective. Jane enjoyed gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren, baking and providing her family with a comforting home. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Audrey Betts. Survivors include her husband of forty-five years, Nicholas Timko, Jr. of Kinsman, Ohio; a daughter, Traci Timko-Rose of Warren, Ohio; a son, Nicholas (Amy) Timko, III of Gustavus, Ohio; two brothers, Thomas (Sherry) Betts of Kinsman, Ohio and Ronald (Tressie) Betts of Cortland, Ohio; three granddaughters, Alexis Timko, Kennedy Rose and Miranda Timko and four grandsons, Zachary Scott, Logan Rose, Luke Rose and Nicholas Timko, IV. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 11:00am at the Kinsman Presbyterian Church, 6383 Church Street, Kinsman, Ohio, with Rev. David McKinnon officiating. Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 26, 2014 from Noon until 2:00pm and from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio.
