Janet V. McClurg

Janet V. McClurg, age 52, of Andover, Ohio, died Friday, January 11, 2013, at UPMC Horizon Hospital in Greenville, PA. She was born May 2, 1960, in Greenville, PA, a daughter of Lewis Edwin and Gladys Viola (Nicklin) McClurg. A lifetime resident of Andover, Janet was a 1977 graduate of Pymatuning Valley High School. She attended Kent State University in Ashtabula following graduation. Janet was most recently employed by The Andover Bank for 16 years; and had earlier been employed by People's Bank and First Merit Bank. She was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Andover, where she served as secretary for many years. Janet enjoyed doing several kinds of crafts like quilting and cross stitching. She is survived by her sister, Ruth Ann Strack of Geneva, OH; two nephews, Eric Strack of Saybrook township, OH, and Chris Strack of New Lyme townhsip, OH; and two nieces, Ada Zaucha and Diana McClurg Colella. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her brother and his wife, William and Diane McClurg. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at 11:00 am at the Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect St., Andover, OH, with Rev. Richard Elwell officiating. Private interment will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery, Andover, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 525 N.
