Andover, Ohio – Janice Lee Slusher, age 67, died at her home on Saturday, January 25, 2014, with her family by her side. She was born on November 26, 1946, in Gary, Indiana, a daughter of Mary Evelyn (Green) and Wallace Blake. Janice married Lynn Melvin Slusher, Sr., on September 11, 1962. She worked in production at Kennametal in Orwell, Ohio for over twenty-five years. Janice enjoyed cooking and baking especially for her family, she collected dolls, enjoyed traveling and gardening and was a bird lover. She is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband of fifty-one years, Lynn M. Slusher of Andover, Ohio; a daughter, Deanna L. Slusher of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania; a son Lynn M. Slusher, Jr. formerly of Pembroke, Kentucky and four grandchildren, Evan & Camille Devaney and Elizabeth & Emma Slusher. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 11:00am at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio, with Pastor Robert Gears officiating. Burial will follow in Sager Cemetery of Bristolville, Ohio. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 29th from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.
