Obituary:
Joann V. Eastlake, 88, a lifelong area resident, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at O'Brien Memorial Health Care Center in Masury, Ohio. She was born on May 29, 1935, in Cherry Valley township, Ohio to her loving parents Aurther Flack and Frances (Hedrick) Flack.
Joann dedicated over 30 years of her life serving as a rural postal carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, showcasing her commitment to her community and work ethic. She was a proud graduate of Williamsfield High School, where she laid the foundation for her future endeavors.
Outside of her career, Joann had a passion for vegetable and flower gardening, bird watching, and enjoyed leisurely afternoon drives that allowed her to appreciate the beauty of nature around her.
On November 8, 1953, Joann married the love of her life, Millard C. Eastlake, Jr., who preceded her in death on November 30, 1999. She is also preceded by her parents; her grandson, Jeffrey Babb; and her six brothers, James Flack, Gene Flack, Robert Flack, Edward Flack, Raymond Flack, and Jim Flack. Joann is survived by her loving children: Cindy (Fred) Williams of Jamestown, PA; Jody (Gary) Babb of Williamsfield, OH; Bradley (Traci Dunbar) Eastlake of Andover, OH. She also leaves behind five grandchildren: Jessica, Klistiny, Cassie, Kyle, and Cody; and seven great-grandchildren: Peyton, Gregory, Grant, Addison, Bradley, Michael, and Liam.
Private services were held per Joann's request. Burial took place in Williamsfield Center Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Windsor House at Champion, 200 E.
