John William "Bill" Wear

John William "Bill" Wear, 67 years old, of Gustavus, OH, died on Friday, June 25, 2004, in Baylor Medical Center at Irving in Irving, TX. John was born on July 26, 1936, in Mannington, WV, to the late Lloyd Wear and Virginia Opal (Garner) Wear of Burton, OH. A long time Gustavus resident, Mr. Wear was a 1954 graduate of West Farmington High School. Following school, he served in the United States Army. Mr. Wear was employed by Packard Electric in Warren, Ohio, for 33 years, retiring in 1999. Prior to that, he was a bricklayer for several years. Mr. Wear was a member of the Gustavus Federated Church. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and his morning walks with his wife and grandson, Koby. He also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He married Anne E. (Ragalyi) on February 17, 1968. Preceding him in death is his father. He is survived by his wife, Anne E. Wear of Gustavus, OH; his son, Robert (Tania) Nichols of Cortland, OH; his son, William "Billy" (Keri) Wear of Kinsman, OH; his daughter, Debra (Brian) Haag of Irving, TX; his granddaughters, Bethany Nichols, Alexandra Nichols; his grandsons, Jacob Haag, Koby Wear; his mother, Virginia Opal (Garner) Wear of Burton, OH; his brother, Milton E. "Skip" (Trudy) Wear of Weaver, AL; his brother, Jim Wear of Millersburg, OH; his brother, Dick (Donna) Wear of Austintown, OH; and his sister, Mary (Raymond) Mullenax of West Farmington, OH. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2004, at 11:00a.m. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main St., Kinsman, OH, with Reverend Steven Trimble officiating. Burial will follow in Gustavus Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, June 29, 2004, from 6p.m. to 8p.m. at the funeral home.
