John E. Schanno,

John E. Schanno, Sr., age 75, of Andover, Ohio, died Sunday, September 5, 2010 at UPMC Horizon Hospital in Greenville, PA. He was born February 14, 1935, in Bellevue, Pennsylvania, the son of Max and Elizabeth (Ubrey) Schanno. A resident of Port Richey, Florida, Mr. Schanno had been a summer resident of Andover for the past twenty years. He was employed by M. E. Cunningham's in Ingomire, PA; and his hobbies included golfing. Mr. Schanno is survived by his wife, Mary A. (Connolly) Schanno, whom he married Oct. 25, 1955; his daughter, Karen Eberhart of Wexford, PA; his son, John E. Schanno, Jr. of Philadelphia, PA; his mother, Elizabeth Schanno of Florida; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father. Mr. Schanno will be cremated and no services held. Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, OH, handled arrangements.
