Joseph F. Peel

Joseph F. Peel, age 72, of Wayne township, Ohio, died Friday, September 16, 2011, at UPMC Horizon Hospital in Greenville, PA. He was born February 1, 1939, in Corpus Christi, Texas, a son of Frank and Petra (Flores) Leal. A resident of Wayne for the past six years, Joseph was formerly of Corpus Christi, Texas where he attended Delmar College. He was employed by Aasarco, Inc. in Texas for sixteen years; and by Computerland and McCaw Communications as an electronics and communications consultant for many years. Joseph was a long time member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Corpus Christi, where he was active serving on various committees. Joseph was a member of the Civitan Club in Corpus Christi; the Ashtabula County Antique Engine Club; and was active helping with the Special Olympics. His hobbies included computers, music, listening to books on tape, and bird watching. He enjoyed nature; and loved to tell jokes and making people laugh. Joseph is survived by his wife, Marvel J. (Nicholas) Peel, whom he married February 5, 1988, of Wayne township, Andover,OH; and two brothers, Richard Leal and Arnold Leal, both of Corpus Christi, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Thomas and Frank Leal. Calling hours will be on Monday, September 19, 2011, from 7 to 9 PM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service,8569 Main St., Kinsman, Ohio. A graveside service will be Tuesday, September 20th at 11:00 A.M. at Hayes Cemetery, Hayes Rd., Wayne Township,OH.
