Joyce L. Simon

Greenville, PA JOYCE L. SIMON, age 54, formerly of Andover, died Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was born on Dec. 31, 1955 in Conneaut, Ohio the daughter of Harley R. and Shirley J. (Dibell) Simon. Ms. Simon was a 1974 graduate of Jefferson High School and worked for many years as a cook in area restaurants and as a nurse�s aide in the former Miller Memorial Nursing Home in Andover. Ms. Simon will be remembered for her sense of humor and flamboyant nature. She enjoyed yard sales, flea markets, her morning coffee, and her beloved dog Kahlua. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Douglas Simon. Ms. Simon is survived by her daughter, Trista L. Simon of Greenville, PA., three sisters, Vicky J. Switzer of Hammonton, NJ, Pamela S. Griffiths of Grove City, PA, and Debbie L. Kemp-Troyer of Williamsfield, OH; two brothers, Jerry F. Simon of Andover and Gregory L. Simon of Thompson, OH; and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2010 from 6 to 9 PM at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, Ohio.
