Vernon, Ohio – Julius Ragalyi, Jr., age 82, passed away after an extended illness, on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. He was born on November 24, 1930, in Gustavus, Ohio, a son of Julia (Szabo) and Julius Ragalyi, Sr. Mr. Ragalyi was a 1948 graduate of Gustavus High School and was a lifelong resident until moving to Vernon, Ohio in 2008. On June 27, 1950, he married Lois Joan Arnio. He worked for the former Copperweld Steel of Warren, Ohio for thirty-eight years and worked as a crane operator, electrician and finally a maintenance inspector until his retirement in 1992. Mr. Ragalyi was a member of the Gustavus Federated Church, the Mecca Moose and was a member of the Wednesday’s Senior Bowling League. He enjoyed reading, bowling, farming and raising roses. Mr. Ragalyi is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Michael A. Ragalyi; two sisters, Ethel Rayner and Margaret Klare-Ragalyi; and two brothers, Elmer and Zoltan Ragalyi. Survivors include his wife sixty-three years, Lois J. Ragalyi; a son, Julius Ragalyi III of Belton, Texas; a daughter, Suzanne A. (Barry) Moore of Vernon, Ohio; four grandchildren, Jay, Charlotte, Travis, Erin; two step grandsons, Chuck & Kenny and ten great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2013, at 2:00pm at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio, with Pastor Karen R. Cico officiating.
