June L. Knight

Jefferson, Ohio - June L. Knight, age 91, died on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at Jefferson Health Care Center. She was born on June 26, 1920, in Greene, Ohio, the daughter of Margaret (Rowlee) and Harold Rice. Mrs. Knight was a 1938 graduate of Green High School and she attended Trumbull Business College. On July 13, 1942 she married Elton J. Knight. She attended the Bloomfield United Methodist Church and was a Republican Precinct Committee person for many years. Mrs. Knight enjoyed bicycling and traveling. She is preceded in death by her parent; her husband of seventeen years, Elton J. Knight, Sr.; a daughter-in-law, Isabelle Knight; a son-in-law, Richard Springer and her brother, Irwin Rice. Survivors include her daughter, Linda K. Springer of Lenox, Ohio; two sons, Elton "Jack" (Kimberly) Knight of North Bloomfield, Ohio and Ronald A. Knight of Howland, Ohio; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 5:00pm at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio. Private burial will follow in Orwell North Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 12th from 4:00pm until the time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to Tridia Hospice.
