Karen K. Gilgallon

Kinsman, Ohio - Karen K. Gilgallon, age 62, died on Monday, September 3, 2007, at her residence with her family by her side. She was born on July 26, 1945 in Youngstown, Ohio, to Frank A. McBride Jr. and Ruth Elnora (Brice) McBride. Mrs. Gilgallon was a 1963 graduate of Joseph Badger High School. A longtime Kinsman resident, Mrs. Gilgallon was a resident of Chicago for eighteen years. She was a waitress at the Seven Stars Restaurant of Chicago for seventeen years and when she returned to the area she waitressed for Nancy�s Cozy Caf� for seventeen years and most recently she waited on tables at the Pinebrook Restaurant in Sharpsville, Pennsylvania. Along with waiting on tables, Mrs. Gilgallon was an Avon representative for many years. She was a member of the Rock of Grace Family Ministries Church where she was known for her pie ministry. Mrs. Gilgallon enjoyed going to garage sales, collecting teddy bears, and bird watching. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leroy J. Gilgallon, whom she married on August 12, 1971. Others include her parents and two brothers, Frank A. McBride III and James McBride. Survivors include a daughter, Joely M. and husband Beau Bogan, and a son James M. and wife Beth McBride, both of Kinsman, six grandchildren, Carissa, Lauren, and Nathaniel Bogan and Kelsie, Katelynn and Austin McBride. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio, with Rev. Mark Biel officiating. Burial will follow in Kinsman Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2007 from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
