Katherine A. Draa

Katherine A. Draa, age 90, died on Wednesday, May 14, 2008, in Hermitage, Pennsylvania. A longtime Vernon, Ohio resident, Mrs. Draa lived in Sharon, Pennsylvania for the past seven years. She was born on September 14, 1917, in Ashtabula, Ohio. On May 3, 1937 she married Adelbert Gray, he died on May 4, 1964. She then married Gordon P. Draa on July 6, 1973, he died on April 5, 2000. She was a member of the former Fountain of Living Waters Church in Farmdale, Ohio, and most recently attended the Rock of Grace Family Ministries of Vernon, Ohio. Mrs. Draa enjoyed gardening, canning, baking and cooking. Along with her husbands, she is preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Beverly J. Benton; a brother, Lyle A. Draa and an infant granddaughter. Survivors include her son Ronald C. Gray of Sharon, Pennsylvania; a step-son Roy R. Draa of Kinsman, Ohio; a sister Amy (Stan) Nizen of Jefferson, Ohio; six grandchildren, Donald (Sheri) Benton Jr., Robert Benton , Dennis Gray and Maria Gray, Denise Moore and Darice Draa and five great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 16, 2008, at 1:00 P.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio, with Rev. Mark Biel officiating. Burial will follow in West View Cemetery in Vernon, Ohio. Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 16, 2008, from 11:00 A.M. until the service at 1:00 P.M.
