Katherine Jan Houston Bloss

Katherine Jan Houston Bloss, age 77, of Fowler, OH, died Thursday, September 29, 2005, at Briarfield of Cortland in Fowler. She was born August 18, 1928, in Orangeville, PA, to Harry and Edna Mae (Peters) Williams. A long time Kinsman area resident, Mrs. Bloss was a cook for many years in Kinsman area restaurants. She was a member of Orangeville Baptist Church; a lifetime member of the Kinsman Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary; and a volunteer for the American Red Cross for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, and was an avid bingo player. Mrs. Bloss is preceded in death by her first husband, Fred L. Houston, whom she married September 26, 1946; her second husband, Richard J. Bloss, whom she married May 28, 2004; two sisters, Alice Stevens and Marian Forbeck; and three brothers, Howard, Harry and Earl Williams. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2005, at 11:00a.m. at Kinsman Cemetery, Church St., Kinsman, OH. No calling hours will be held.
